We’re told there’s a pretty exciting event happening in Dayton this Monday, April 8th- an exceptionally rare total solar eclipse! The last total solar eclipse in Ohio was in 1806 and the next one is expected in 2099! The eclipse is expected to begin about 2p with totality coverage starting about 3p, and the whole event ending around 430p.

Dayton is expecting a large influx of visitors to the area, as we are in the path of totality, making travel a bit hairy! At the advice of the Ohio Department of Transportation as well as the Public Health Department of Dayton & Montgomery County, we will be closing our office early at 12p in order to ensure that our employees are able to travel safely to and from work. Our phones will also go off at noon, however an on call physician can always be reached in an emergency.

Enjoy this once-in-a-lifetime event and make sure to protect your peepers! 😎
